Logo for Tween and Teen SRP 2022

The Tweens and Teens Summer Reading Program is open to ages 10-17 (if you are 10 you may choose between the Children’s or Tween & Teen Reading Program). You can log your books or minutes read on Beanstack. Your Beanstack account will allow you to earn badges, rewards, and entries into our prize drawings for the time you spend reading throughout the summer!

Library Programs

This summer, we are offering exciting in-person programs for tweens and teens! From the Tweens and Teens Art Show to our No-Bake Challenge for ages 9-14, we have many fun opportunities this summer for tweens and teens! Visit our online calendar for more details and to view all of our summer programs.

How to Track Your Reading:

  • To log your reading online, visit our Beanstack page or download the app from the app store on your smartphone or tablet and register for an account. Make sure to log your reading by July 29 to be entered into the prize drawings.
  • Prefer to track your reading on paper? You can also visit the Library anytime throughout the summer to pick up a paper log, instead. Once you have filled your paper log, return it to the Youth Services desk by July 29 to be entered into the prize drawings and to receive your free book.
  • Log your time spent reading.
    • Any type of reading material (print, e-book, graphic novels, audio-book, etc.) counts toward your goal.
    • You will advance to the next level with every 100 minutes read. There are 10 levels in all.

For every 100 minutes read, you will earn a badge to progress to the next level. At level 5 (500 minutes read), each participant will receive a free book and Oceans of Possibilities tote bag (bags are available while supplies last.) At levels 8, 9, and 10 each participant will be entered for a chance to win one of the fun prizes listed below. Once you’ve logged 1,000 minutes read and reached level 10, you will have completed the program! Even after you’ve finished, you can keep logging your reading to increase your odds of winning the grand prize for your age group.
