You are invited to join our growing group of dedicated volunteers! By sharing your time and talent with us, you can make a big difference in the quality of library services in our community. Our volunteers range in age from 13 to 80. Some do short-term projects, and some have been here since the volunteer program started in 1995.
Volunteers work side by side with staff in many library activities. Typical volunteer tasks include:
- dusting bookshelves
- assisting with circulation tasks
- sorting through gift materials
- searching for books
- assisting with children’s programs
- preparing craft materials
- preparing book donations for Virginia Baptist Hospital
- computer data entry
- helping patrons in the computer lab
If you need more information or would like to volunteer, please call our Volunteer Coordinator, Amy Arranga at 434-455-6306.
