Quiet Study Room - Main Library

The quiet study room is located in the Adult Services department and may be reserved online, in person at the Adult Services desk, or by phone: 434-455-6310. All appointments are limited to two (2) consecutive hours a day. The room may be reserved for up to three (3) days per calendar week. Any exceptions will be at the discretion of an Adult Services Librarian.

The quiet study room is intended for individual study, small group study, and tutoring. The room occupancy is limited to two (2) people at a time. If more than one person wishes to use the room, both must be working together on a project or be in a tutoring session together.

Study Pods - Main Library

The Library has two (2) study pods, thanks to a generous donation from Liberty University in 2021. The study pods are intended to provide a more private collaborative space for patrons to use for studying, tutoring, or workforce related work. The units are equipped with power and can seat up to four (4) people. The table and walls in the unit are able to be written on with dry erase markers. One pod is located in the Youth Services Department and one pod is located in the Adult Services Department. Please contact Youth Services (434-455-6320) or Adult Services (434-455-6310) for more information on how to enjoy using these new spaces.
